Welcome to Kodori

Kodori is a unique take-away food business based on a blend of traditional dishes from Japan and Korea. The standout feature of this great concept is the Tepan, or hot plate, situated behind glass at the front of the store. The signature meal is the well known Japanese Teppanyaki where the food is cooked on the hot plate in front of you.

The Kodori concept delicately balances the original recipes of the traditional dishes with the available local ingredients and a hint of western influence. Added to this is the superior quality and freshness of the Teppanyaki ingredients which are cooked fresh for the customers after ordering their meal.

Kodori also offers a number of traditional “grab and go” meals and snacks that have all been prepared fresh on the day. These offers may vary from day to day and are well priced for the take-away market.

The founder of Kodori is Michael Yoo, a Korean restaurateur with more than 20 years experience operating restaurants in Korea and Australia. With extensive experience in both Korean and Japanese traditional foods Michael is very passionate about the future of Kodori. With his knowledge and experience Michael sought to create a food quality and range that would satisfy almost any taste.

The head cook for Kodori; Mr. Kim, originally trained in Korea before rounding off his training in one of Michael Yoo’s Sydney based restaurants. As a major player in the development team Mr. Kim continually critiques the recipes and sauces used, as well as developing new items for the menu.

The recipe for success at Kodori is that it will always be a work in progress aimed at refining the offer and preventing it from becoming predictable and uninspiring to its customers. The committed and uniquely qualified team is dedicated to keeping Kodori at the forefront of take-away food concepts.
